ART SQUARE

A work beyond the frame.

A pale celadon organic arc and charcoal line on textured ivory paper.

A digital artwork is an image that exists as a file. It can be experienced on a screen, and, when its license permits, made into a physical print. The file and the permission to use it are related, but they are not the same thing.

A useful first question is how you want to live with the work. A personal display on a screen, a small print and a large print have different technical needs. Pixel dimensions describe the available image information. Enlarging a file does not create the same detail as an original captured at a higher resolution.

For the first ART SQUARE collection, we publish the measured dimensions of every original file on its artwork page. The website displays optimised previews. These are made for browsing, rather than presented as production masters.

The collection is created with AI and selected by ART SQUARE. We identify that origin clearly. We do not attribute the images to invented artists or describe them as unique physical originals.

When purchasing becomes available, the intended use, file specification, delivery method and applicable license will need to be clear before payment. Until then, guide prices and selections are a way to explore the product direction. No purchase or download is created.

A thoughtful digital collection begins in the same place as any collection: with a work you want to spend time looking at. The technical details should make that relationship easier to understand.
